5 Days 4 Nights Sibu – Sarikei – Mukah

Day 1: AIRPORT – SIBU
Meet me at Sibu airport at 10 am. Proceed for the downtown area for lunch. Then the Sibu city tour. Sibu central market, Sibu
heritage center, Hospital museum. Check-in hotel and rest. 6pm pick up again for night market visit. Then go dinner
and back to the hotel.

Day 2: SIBU – SARIKEI – SIBU
Morning 9 am pick up hotel and proceed to Sibu Foochow heritage center, the beginning history of the Chinese
arrive Sibu. Then get the express boat to Sarikei at 11.30 am. Pick up by car at Sarikei at 1 pm. Then continues to
Sarikei town. Upon arrival, we will visit the Sarikei market, you also can buy some sweet and famous ‘Sarikei’ pineapple.
We will go local restaurant for lunch (guest own expenses), or proceed to Jakar town for the famous prawn noodle.
Then continue the journey to Bintangor. We can go to try the Sago biscuit or known as ‘Tumpik’. Short visit in
‘Bintangor’. Journey back to Sibu, halfway we cross the river using a ferry. Then we visit to Iban longhouse at Bawang
Assam. That will be tea break in the longhouse, rice wine tasting (not necessary for the Muslims), blowpipe, and
longhouse visit. (Traditional costume are available for rent for the photo session). After the tour, journey back to Sibu. Free
at own leisure. Overnight hotel.

Day 3: SIBU – MUKAH
Check out the hotel. Proceed to Mukah, Visit the local ceramic factory, and Yu Long Tian En Shi Temple at Oya road. Rest
stop at Selangau, estimate arrive Mukah around 2 and a half hour. Proceed to Mukah town. Visit the wet market,
and you able to buy and taste the famous umai in Mukah. Or you lucky you can also try the sago worm. After that
having lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we proceed to Melanau’s traditional house. We will see the house in their
history and living style in the Lamin dana. Then we proceed to the tebaloi biscuit making house (may close during
holiday). The famous Sarawak sago biscuit. Then proceed to tapak Pesta Kaul, a place every year the Melanau
people doing offering to the sea. That is the beach with the south china sea view. Overnight at Mukah area hotel.

Day 4: MUKAH – SELANGAU – SIBU
Morning free and easy. then we depart from Mukah town. Rest stop at Selangau.
Then journey back to Sibu. Check-in hotel and enjoy your own leisure.

Day 5 SIBU – AIRPORT
Breakfast at the hotel and check out the hotel for airport departure.

Things to bring: Personal camera, poncho, trekking shoes, cotton and comfortable changes of clothes ‘earth color’
especially to visit Bako National Park and Semenggoh Orang Utan Wildlife center, suntan lotion, insect repellent, sun
glass, changes of shoes / flip flop, dry bag, sun hat/ cap and any personal belongings that make your travel more
convenience.
